10 ways you can rock with ethnics at your workplace
Yes, we women are always confused on what to wear. When it comes to office, it’s even more confusing and matter of tough choices to be made. After a certain point, even that trousers and shirts become boring. Well, this thought will definitely inspire you to color up your wardrobe with some chick ethnics. We’ll start from bottom to top. Stay tuned.
1) For your delicate feet:
Dump your shoes for a while and pamper your feet with some colorful juttis. You can get them vibrant in colors and moreover your feet get comfort like anything.
Another option for the feet is the evergreen and classy Kolhapuri Chappals. Yes, trust me.. You can carry it off like a pro again with too much of comfort.
You can take up the look with Salwar with a short or long kurta of your choice. A decent Lucknowi Kurta goes best with it. If it is an old fashion for you then the next point is certainly for you.
3) Palazzo or Cigarette pants:
You can replace your Churidars or Salwars with any of these two. Not only because they are too much in fashion but they also provide that ease to nail your outfit and overall get up.
4) Ditch that shiny Anarkali:
You may have piles of Anarkali and all those blingy dresses you bought for your cousin’s wedding which is just relaxing on your rack but DO NOT even think of it wearing it for office.
5) Kurta paired up with denim:
If your office set up and the dress code is strictly formal then DO NOT try it. If the set up is semi or fully informal (like ours) then a rugged denim is always welcome paired up with a long or short kurta. Too chic and too classy.
6) Saris at work:
A big YES for it. It is supposed to be worn as an Indian Formals totally. But yes, the fabric and draping matter a lot. Silk, cotton, chiffon etc. are the suggested ones for the perfect office look.
7) Ditch the backless:
Ditch those fancy backless blouses for some other occasions. Go for a plain, collared or peplum blouses for the office look. The tip for the blouses is the simpler you will keep, the more of elegance you add.
8) Jhumkis and statement rings:
When wearing ethnic, try getting yourself accessorised as per the office environment. If in the art field, you can go ahead with some statement earrings. For more, you can try statement rings or neckpieces too.
9) Long coats:
Avoid it. It would be a disaster to carry long coat on an Indian wear. Keep shawl instead.
To complete the look, do not forget to apply bindi. Size is always individual whether the tiny one or the real big one. Apart from that, even makeup is always an individual choice.
