About Pooja Vyaas

“I am from Surat. I began my working career at very early stage of my life due to family circumstances and completed my studies. When I was struggling with the challenges of my life, I got the support of Mr. Piyush Vyaas as a life partner. I got married at an early age.

It’s very important to find what you are good at and what people need out of you. In 1997, after marriage i wanted to start business and so we analysed Surat. We found ‘Speaking English’ was very challenging for Surtis and so i took that as a challenge & initiated with our first institute named ‘Real International Spoken English’. i started my first institute in Adajan. In that era, hardly people wanted to learn English as it was considered to be a tough language. For me it was difficult to get any clients for same. I and my husband were teaching even a single student in beginning. I started giving coaching to students even at their homes. To ignite people’s interest for learning English, I used to do free seminars, talk-shows etc. During my struggle time, I came across few people who wanted to learn but distance was the issue for them. So i decided to step in their areas to teach. That is how our first branch came to existence in 1999 at Parle Point. I and my husband visited London first time in the year 2000 & completed short term courses of ‘How to teach English?’ After returning to India, we started two more centres at Bhatar and Varachha. I designed more than 10 types of courses & methods to teach students English. Meanwhile between this journey I also completed my studies¬.

While teaching English to different age groups, there was an outcome resulted that actual problem was not the language but it was more about personality perspectives like fear, confusion, lack of direction, lack of communication skills, public speaking, confidence etc. After a lot of research and surveys, we introduced the first ever Personality Development Institute named Star Personality Development. Soft Skills as subject was new to all and I am proud to say we were the very first to bring ‘Personality Development’ awareness in our city. I was one of the youngest trainers of city. Now to spread awareness & win peoples heart & trust, I started publishing my photos (face value) all over as marketing campaign including hoardings, pamphlets, website etc. This was also very advanced decision taken as a working female then and it still worked.

In 2002, I was blessed with a baby girl. It was again a challenge as woman to balance career, family, health all together living in joint family. When my daughter got 5 years old, I decided to go to London to gain further qualifications on soft skills and management training. It was again a tough decision to go again abroad. It was almost like “a shaking boat in mid-span of ocean”. I had to face lots of criticism & with no co-operation from society. I stayed in London for approximately 4 years, away from family. This made me stronger and confident. I completed CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adult) at Cambridge, BTECH Professional Award in “Training the trainer” EDEXCEL, Diploma in coaching Excellence, ITOL. I observed that in abroad the women are very confident & independent. In my mind I was constantly comparing Indian female life with the one in abroad. I returned to India in 2011 with lots of new knowledge, learning system along with enthusiasm, and changed entire scenario of Star Personality. I have spoken at more than 500 places including society, schools, colleges, universities, police training centres, auditoriums, orphanages, Nari Saurakshan Gruh and Mahila Mandal about Self Development & Women Empowerment. I have addressed speeches on all Human Development subjects.

In 2013, I got an opportunity to indulge socially in JCI Surat Diamond as first lady President where I performed my best for 18 months in different sectors for mankind. During my tenure as President, I decided to start new NGO to continue services for the society. So I started Sampurrna Vikas Trust. SVT started giving its services for various Orphan Houses, Hospitals, Old age home, Nari sanrakshan house, School for diables etc. While working in this field, I realised that it was very tough to reach to masses. I got to know a new secret that the biggest help to human is – To Inspire, Motivate & Impart the knowledge to get to know their own abilities.

I have believed on one Slogan “Don’t give someone a FISH; Show him How to do that FISH.” To reach to maximum people with motivational, Inspirational talks, I started POOJAPIYUSHTV under Sampurrna Vikas Trust. It was my new way to reach to those who couldn’t come to us. Here also I brought innovative way to train people through Social Media. We also connected with multiple NGOs who are into Human & Society Development. It is believed that “a female never promotes or appreciates another female “ but here I decided to change this mindset and came up with my new dream project – ROSHNI- Talk show with Pooja Vyaas. It’s my tribute to all those ladies who are working and have achieved tremendous success in their lives after lot many struggles. I have come up with their Success Stories on my show. Overall I learnt one lesson in my life if you are confident about yourself and your decisions; success comes towards you waving its hand. At Last, I want to say there are two kinds of trainers in our market; Experienced or Qualified. I am blessed with both.

My message to Surat;
1. Women must indulge herself in some WORK.
2. Teenage girls must learn soft skills with self defence as it’s important to have strong mind along with body.
3. Females must understand the importance of inner talent as it’s their real asset for life.
4. For Female it’s very important to balance (work) professional life, personal life, health & family.
5. Health issues are always a big challenge to all the female’s life so we must look after ourselves as a top priority.

A Happy person can only share happiness..

I thank City Tadka Surat for providing me this wonderful opportunity to reach you all.”
